Bagby Hot Springs
Bagby Hot Springs is about a 2 hour drive, and a 3 mile hike, but it is worth it! You get to have a steaming hot bath with natural, mineral rich spring water! We thoroughly enjoyed our hike (even though it took 2 times as long with our toddler). She did an exceptional job walking almost half of the trail without assistance! There were a few times we had to pick her up and carry her, especially over the semi-snowy trail.

Rhododendron Garden
Yesterday, my mom and Addie and I went for a nice walk at Portland's Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden. Luckily the rhodies were in bloom and the many, many ducks made it back for spring! Addie had fun chasing after the ducks, and trying to feed them, but these ducks were pretty well fed already! It was kind of difficult to get her to leave though, she is such an outdoors woman, and loooves her animals!

Easter Outing
Addie's First Shiner
Yesterday Addie took her first major tumble! It wasn't entirely her fault- she had a little push from the boy that I watch. It was an accident, atleast, I hope it was an accident, otherwise I have a little bully on my hands!
Addie was pretty shaken up about it, so was I! I called every female family member with children and well as the advice nurse (and almost put in a call to 911, but luckily rationale kicked in).
She had a big bump right away, but Addie wouldn't let me put anything on it to help the swelling.
I think I have been even more afraid of head injuries since the very tragic Natasha Richardson passing. Let us hope that we can learn from our mistakes and prevent any more tragedies. I have a list of warning signs to be aware of that the advice nurse told me, one warning sign was going unconscious and not waking, ummmm, is that really a warning sign....
All through her nap, and all through the night I was checking her vital signs! This morning the bump is almost gone, and surprisingly, she barely has a bruise to show for all the fuss! She must have a pretty good hard head!
She is definitely a trooper, and I am so lucky and happy that she seems to be okay!! I think I should invest in a nice big cushiony floor mat throughout the house!
